Passing in Pairs

Tactical Problem:  Passing "rugby style" while moving in a defined space
Skill development:  Successful completion of passes while in movement



Teaching Points:

Tactic

  •  On Ball:  Pass in front of your team-mate
  • Off Ball:  Move to an open space to receive the pass and communicate

Skill

  • Reach, Catch, Sweep 
 
Description:
Students move in any direction around the grid working with their partner passing the ball back and forth.  They must move into open space to receive the pass and be aware of the location of the other groups.

  • Students work in pairs
  • The grids set up at the beginning of class can be used without having to rearrange their set-up
